Google Chrome : Some unknown features

Google Chrome is the most popular internet browser in the world. One of the reasons for its popularity is ease to use and it has great features! However, there are many features in the browser that many users are not aware of.

Here some unknown features are given below:

Keep previous tabs safe:

There are many tabs open in Chrome browser but suddenly your browser is closed. There is nothing to worry about. Tabs are accessible as soon as the browser is launched. To do this, go to the ‘Settings’ option from the Threaded menu. Now click on the ‘On Startup’ option and select the ‘Continue You Left Off’ option. The next time you close Chrome, you will get the tabs that were open as soon as you open the browser.

Groups tab:

The Chrome browser has a group tab feature to use the tabs well. This will allow you to create your own categories and enjoy the browsing benefits. To avail this facility, right click on the tab and use the ‘Add Tab to New Group’ option. You can add and delete new tabs in the group.

Media cast from computer to TV:

Click on the ‘Three’ dot menu in the Chrome browser to see the ‘Cast’ option. This allows you to cast to the current tab or your entire desktop screen TV using the Chrome Cast device. Even if YouTube or any other OTT app is open in the browser tab, you will be able to cast the video exclusively.

Use the same tab on different devices:

If you want the same tabs that you opened in the Chrome browser on the computer, you can also open in the Chrome browser of the smartphone or tablet PC. To do this, first turn on the ‘Sync’ option from ‘Settings’. In this case, both devices must have the same Google Account.

Live audio / video play:

Chrome can be used not only for viewing websites, but also for viewing any audio / video file on the computer. To get the best out of this, you need to open a new tab in Chrome. Then you have to drag and drop the audio / video file. If you drag any audio / video file from the desktop / drive with the mouse (drag) and drop it in the new tab of the browser, you will see that the file is working.

Guest mode:

A friend or colleague may request to use your computer for some time. But your browsing on the Internet can be uncomfortable for anyone else to see. To avoid this situation, Chrome browser has guest mode, which will keep your browsing information secret from others. To turn on guest mode, click Avatar in your Google Account in the upper right hand corner of the browser and then select the guest mode option. This will keep your data private in the browser.

Reader mode:

If you want to read an article in your spare time and don’t want to see any pictures or advertisements in the article, you can turn on ‘Reader Mode’. To use this feature, open a new tab in Chrome browser and type chrome://flags/#enable-reader-mode.

In-built malware scanner:

Chrome Browser has an in-built malware scanner to protect against malware. To use this feature, click on the ‘Settings’ option from the browser’s Threaded menu. Now go to the ‘Advanced’ option. From here select the ‘Reset and Clean’ option then use the ‘Clean-up Computer’ option. It will scan your computer properly and will detect anything harmful and allow you to delete it instantly.
